Cocoa crunch energy bites

Packed with dates, peanut butter, oats, cocoa and a sprinkle of chocolate, they’re a smart snack that balances protein, fibre and healthy fats with just the right touch of sweetness. Ideal for an afternoon pick-me-up, a lunchbox treat, or a pre-workout bite.

  • makes 10 – 12 energy bites

    • 12 medjool dates, pitted and halved

    • ¼ cup cocoa powder

    • ½ cup peanut butter – good quality

    • 50g dark chocolate (>60% cocoa), roughly chopped

    • ½ cup oats

    • Pinch salt

    1. Blitz the oats
      Pop oats into a blender and pulse until they look like a rough crumb. Set aside.

    2. Make the base
      Add dates, cocoa, chopped chocolate and peanut butter into the blender. Blitz until it comes together like a dough.

    3. Fold & shape
      Add the crumbed oats back in and fold through until evenly mixed. Roll into 10–12 balls, about 40 g each.

    4. Finish & enjoy
      Roll in extra cocoa or coconut if you like a fancy finish. Chill or snack straight away!
